The Music Industry: USB Drives as Promotional Tools

Rewarding your fans for their loyalty is key in the music industry. Once someone has developed an appreciation for the music you put out they will typically remain fans. However, it is always good to do something kind for their continued support. After all, an artist cannot put out new material without financial support from someone.

Fans are loyal. They buy CD’s, songs from iTunes, boost your visibility on Youtube, freely promote you every time they make a reference to you in their social media, buy posters etc. All of those items add up and some material items are not even reusable. So why not invest in something affordable, rewarding and functional?

Bands like best selling artist No Doubt and Fool’s Gold Records have taken advantage of custom USB Drives for those very reasons. They each worked with USB Promos to design a one-of-a-kind USB drive.

No Doubt decided to do a limited release of their new album, Push and Shove. The ABS plastic drive was designed to mimic a rubik's cube. It acted like one too- when you twisted the drive like a rubik's cube it revealed the actual USB.

Fool’s Gold Records sold their limited edition album, “Loosies” on a custom cigarette shaped drive. It was made from rubber 3D PVC. Pulling off the filter revealed the USB.

Their drive was sold in a completely customized package as well:

Both clients provided USB Promos with the music files and we pre-loaded them onto the drives. When a DJ or fan received the custom drive they were able to download the complete album to their computers. Also, they were able to use the drive for personal use thereafter. While stickers fade, concerts become a memory and posters are outgrown- everyone needs a USB drive. It serves as a walking advertisement essentially.

Metal USB Drives: A Sophisticated Marketing Tool

The type of USB drive you choose to order and disperse amongst your following says a lot about the company. Consumers, co-workers, stakeholders, conference attendees etc. will either add to or take away their already conceptualized opinion about your company based simply on the USB drive alone.

Think about it. If you handed over a product that was distastefully printed on, falling apart, not functional, not color matched correctly to actual logo/product, misspelled etc. the USB drive receivers might think “what else do they sacrifice quality for profit”.

USB Promos guarantees high quality drives no matter the medium i.e. ABS plastic, PVC, wood or metal. USB drives can be customized to essentially “fit” your industry. For instance, if you're in the children’s toy business, a soft rubber PVC USB drive would be more representative of your work rather than a wooden drive for the logging “lumberjack” industry.

We are especially proud to offer fully customizable metal drives. We have helped to design custom USB drives for businesses working with racecars, mechanics, batteries, beverages, construction etc. Regardless of the industry, metal USB drives are a popular choice. Metal drives speak volumes about the company. They communicate that a company is high quality, durable, classy, respects the opinions of their consumers and makes good investments.

Our metal USB flash drives are sturdy and reliable. They are die cast in zinc alloy and can be powder coated, painted a color, nickel plated or chrome plated. Let the USB drive sparkle in it’s natural metallic finish or have your logo screen printed on the flat surface. We can even create a mockup for you with any of the finishing options to make the decision process easier.
